Mum's Birthday Dress

Honestly, I actually finished this dress months ago!

For my mum's birthday (back in September) I made her this dress.  She picked out the fabric and the pattern and it took me about 3 months to finish, I made a toile and everything!

I used Simplicity Amazing Fit 1882,

Summary
Fabric: 2.5m of cotton, 0.5m cotton contrast
Notions: Iron on interfacing, 24" Zip, hook and eye fastening

Challenges: The collar and the pockets were new and a fun challenge.  But I was really pleased with the results!

Hours: Probably about 15 hours
Do it again?:  No, made it for my mum, but the pattern isn't really me.

  1. I think my favorite detail is the collar. I love the color of gold you used to accent with. And it is so lovely that you're sewing for your mom! Lynaea @ EverydayBloom.com
