Sorry to keep harping on about my deadlines, but urrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhh!
In other news, lets have a look at how my knitting is coming along! I've almost got to the part where I divide it into two to create the V-neck. I think I know what I'm doing when it comes to that, I have read the instructions very carefully, but my mother-in-law is on speed dial should I need her.
I'm still really enjoying knitting this jumper, and really looking forward to wearing it. It's likely to be finished midsummer, but there are always cold nights.
I'm already making plans for doing another one once I've finished, it's probably a good thing I only have one pare of 6.5 needles or I might have started a second one already! Next I'm going to make one for Dave, so I'll drag him wool shopping and aim to have it done by Christmas.
I've been doing quite a bit of sewing in the last week, despite saying I'm not going to. But it's soo much more fun than essay writing- sooo much more! I've been making some more tops out of men's shirts, but I think I should stop now as 4 is probably enough for any wardrobe. Although my mum has commissioned me to make her a shirt like the one I showed you last week. She wants it for the summer holidays, so plenty of time.
She also bought me this awesome new pattern last weekend. We went to the Makers Yard in Leicester, which is studio space hired out by local craft people and they had an open day. One of the ladies there specialises in fabric manipulation and does classes, which I'd love to get to at some point when I'm less busy. Anyway, she had a basket of vintage patterns and I picked this out. We then headed to the fabric store to choose some fabric to use, so that's another project for my pile.
